Harness racing will get underway at the Fayette County Fair at 5:30pm, Wednesday. The horse races will be a little different at the Fayette County Fair this year.

Dr. Bob Swartz says the conditions changed this year because of a shortage of two-year-olds due to the sire stakes were competing in the same week.

It is now the Fayette County Open Pace. It is eligible to horses to all ages of horses sired by stallions standing in Fayette County.

Dr. Bob Swartz says it will be pretty competitive and could even see a track record depending who comes in for the race.
