Highland Co. Celebrates Board of D.D. Milestone

A milestone will be celebrated this fall, that established county boards to educate children and young adults with developmental disabilities in Ohio.

Kraig Walker, Community First Director for the Highland Board of D.D., says the county board system turns 50-years-old this October 12th. Prior to that, a group of parents in Highland County got the ball rolling.

No longer do the county boards of DD operate programs for adults, as their services are administered to through private agencies.

This year's theme is "Always There". Walker has been with the Highland County Board of DD for 18 years.
