The City of Hillsboro Building Department is drawing attention to the “Safer Buildings, Safer Communities, Safer World.” recognition in the month of May, despite having to cancel many of their local recognition events due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

While local activities during Building Safety Month have been postponed due to COVID-19, the City of Hillsboro is hoping to plan a weekend education event this fall to answer any of questions.
Educational materials are available for schools and the community at large, including brochures about flood cleanup, mold prevention, green building and preparing for natural disasters. Everyone is encouraged to participate and learn about the essential safety work of the City of Hillsboro Building Department.
