More Gun Violence Erupts in Columbus

In Columbus...seven deaths in just four days. Homicide detectives are working to solve 133 killings, which is the most since 1991. 

One person died Wednesday night after a shooting in southeast Columbus on Frebis Avenue and another person was killed after a shooting on East Barthman Avenue in south Columbus. 

Police say a vigil was being held on East Barthman Avenue for another murder victim from Monday when someone drove by and started firing shots. Four people were hit including a 9-year-old. in the end.

Then another shooting on Frebis Avenue which led to a man being taken to the hospital where he later died. Columbus is now only six away from tying an all time high for murders.

The City of Columbus has reported 131 homicides in 2017, many by fatal gunshot, including a Chillicothe native who was killed on Thanksgiving Day.
