Flood Warning Issued for Much of South Central, Southern Ohio

The National Weather Service has placed several southern and south central Ohio counties under Flood Warning due to Thursday's rainfall. The warnings will be in effect through Thursday evening.

Areas impacted include Pike County, Scioto County, Hocking County , Adams County, eastern Ross County and southeastern Brown County.

Heavy rain had ended across the area. However, numerous roads remain closed across the warned area due to lingering high water from the rain earlier this morning. 

Some locations that may experience flooding include Chillicothe, Portsmouth, Maysville, Logan, Waverly, Nelsonville, West Union, New Boston, Piketon, Manchester, Peebles, Ripley, Aberdeen, Vanceburg, Winchester, Seaman, South Webster, Lucasville, Pike Lake and Kincaid Springs.
