Too Warm For Roadway Snow Accumulation

Snow fall amounts have been held in-check by warmer than expected temperatures in some parts of the Scioto Valley, although western Ohio appeared to have more accumulation. Wednesday is also the first full day of Spring.

Schools in Pike and Clinton counties were closed Wednesday morning, while Fayette and Highland county schools were on delays. Schools in Ross and Pickaway counties were not impacted as all of them reported to class on schedule.

Forecasts of 2-4 inches of snow were tapered down to 1-2 inches total in Wednesday morning's revised forecast. Temperatures were around 32 in the morning with projected highs of 37 in the afternoon. Warm pavement temps from the 60 degree weather on Monday was a big reason for many roads not allowing snow to stick.

Some forecasts are calling for another round of snow on Saturday, with possible accumulation.
