Clinton County Wins in State Capital Budget

Ohio State Senator Bob Peterson (R-Washington Court House)

State Senator Bob Peterson (R-Washington Court House) has announced the Senate passage of the state's Capital Budget, a $2.62 billion investment in Ohio's infrastructure and local community projects.

“The Capital Budget represents state investment in our local communities. Through bond dollars and not taxpayer expense, we are able to financially support a wide variety of local projects that support and uplift our neighborhoods,” said Peterson. “These improvements are created and coordinated by local leaders and I am proud to be able to help boost them.”

In total, Clinton County received almost $4.5 million in funding for important community projects.

Laurel Oaks Career Center will receive $1.5 million to add a large multi-purpose space, increased classroom space and a connector between what is currently two separate buildings. Laurel Oaks is the largest growing Joint Vocation campus in the Great Oaks family.

$250,000 has been allocated for the construction of the Clinton County Police and Fire Memorial to honor the brave first responders who have made the ultimate sacrifice to keep the community safe.
