Pedestrian Killed in Masieville Area Traffic Accident


For the second time in less than one week, a pedestrian has been killed in a traffic accident in Ross County.


The latest incident occurred at approximately 5:30am Friday on U.S. Route 23, south of Three Locks Road, near Maple Road. The Ohio State Highway Patrol tells iHeart Media News that the southbound lanes of U.S. 23 have been closed since the accident, to complete their investigation.


The first pedestrian fatality of the week happened at 1:30am Monday, when 59-year-old Terry Roof was killed when struck by a pickup truck on Bridge Street.
