Zane Trace Tip Off Classic Celebrates 31 Years


The Zane Trace Tip-Off Classic will be celebrating 31 Years this coming weekend. 


The ten-game event is scheduled to start Friday at 5:00 p.m. and wrap up Saturday evening.


The games begin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday as the Lady Pioneers take on the Lady Tigers of McClain. The Boy’s squads then take to the court at 6:45 p.m. with Jackson battling Bloom Carroll. Friday’s action wraps up at 8:30 p.m. with Logan Elm going up against Bishop Ready.


On Saturday, The girls start things off again as Nelsonville York takes on Berne Union at 10:00 a.m. The Boys begin play at 11:45 a.m. with Nelsonville York taking on New Hope Christian. At 1:30 p.m. the Westfall Mustangs play McClain with the Bearcats of Paint Valley going against Amanda Clearcreek at 3:15 p.m. Huntington then takes to the court to battle Vinton County at 5:00 p.m., after that it’s Lancaster up against Washington CH at 6:45 p.m. Saturday’s action will conclude as Zane Trace takes on Hilliard Davidson at 8:30 p.m.


The Tip-Off Classic also features a Zane Trace Hall of Fame induction ceremony. This year's inductees are long-time Zane Trace Coach and Announcer, Bil Fetters, and former Zane Trace players, and siblings, Luke and Nate Singer.
