(Columbus) -- There will be soccer in Columbus next year as Major League Soccer announced yesterday the date and time of the Crew's regular-season opener.
The Crew will open 2019 at home when they welcome the New York Red Bulls to Mapfre Stadium on March 2nd.
MLS announced the home openers for all their clubs and the Crew will travel to New England on March 9th for the Revolution's first game of 2019 at Gillette Stadium.
New expansion team and in-state rival FC Cincinnati's first home game in MLS will be on St. Patrick's Day, March 17th against Portland at Nippert Stadium in the Queen City.
