Funding Problem for Ohio's Highways

Ohio seems to be out of money for building new highways.

That includes a reduction of almost 15 percent in discretionary funding in two years. ODOT's contracts paying for potholes, plowing and paving added up to almost two and a half billion just five years ago. That number is expected to plummet by next year, almost a million short.

The gas tax and a turnpike bond fund are getting the blame.
