Governor DeWine Sworn In

Mike DeWine was sworn in as Ohio's 70th Governor moments after midnight Monday at his family's historic home outside Cedarville.

Gov. DeWine signed several executive orders in the moments after taking the oath of office, including the creation of the Governor's 'Recovery Ohio' initiative dealing with drug addiction. Additionally, he signed executive orders dealing with foster children, employment for people with disabilities, and anti-discrimination orders for employment of expectant mothers and foster parents.

DeWine was joined by his wife, Fran, became Ohio's 70th governor at age 72. The oath was administered by Mike and Fran's eldest child, Patrick, an Ohio Supreme Court justice.
