Two South Central Ohioans Named to Ohio Historical Records Advisory Board

Two south-central Ohio residents have been named to a governor-appointed advisory board.

Robin J. Heise, of Yellow Springs in Greene County, and Richard C. Rooney, of Chillicothe in Ross County, have been appointed by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine to the Ohio Historical Records Advisory Board for a term beginning April 15, 2019, and ending March 31, 2022.

The Ohio Historic Site Preservation Advisory Board makes advisement to the State Historic Preservation Officer and the Ohio history Connection Board of Trustees on Historic Preservation Issues. That includes an evaluation of the properties nominated to the National Register of Historic Places.

The board, comprised of architects, historians, planners, archaeologists, and members of the public-at-large with expertise in Ohio's history. It's a 17-member panel that meets four times per year.
