A pair of missing kids from New York City were found over 1,200 miles away in Council Bluffs, Iowa. 14-year-old Kevin Figueros and his 11-year-old girlfriend, Amaya Arguelles, were reported missing on Thursday (November 12).
Authorities searched for the two, but they were long gone. Figeuros stole his dad's Toyota minivan and embarked on a cross country roadtrip with Arguelles. The two managed to make it Iowa, before they were stopped by the local police.
The two lovebirds were taken to the Council Bluffs Juvenile Detention Center and their families were notified they had been found safe. Officials did not say why the pair decided to leave New York.
It is unclear if they will face charges for their actions.
