Legendary WSRW and Buckeye Country 105.5 broadcaster Will Parr announced during a live commercial broadcast remote Tuesday morning that he will retire from radio on October 31st.

Parr has been The Voice of Hillsboro Radio since WRSW first went on the air in the summer of 1956. In fact, Will Parr- then a sergeant with the Hillsboro police department - joined WSRW as it was still being built in January 1956, and was the first voice heard as the station began broadcasting that summer. Parr has remained with WSRW throughout its entire existence. He turns 93-years-old this fall.

In the meantime, we encourage listeners to let Will Parr know of your appreciation and keep listening for details that are being planned for his final day on the air, October 31st.
