Dozens of people turned out for a retirement party Thursday in Hillsboro to honor the 62 year broadcast career of Will Parr.
Among those on-hand were the Highland County Commissioners, who named December 6th as "Will Parr Day" in Highland County.
Highlights of the event included reminiscing about humorous and touching stories from Parr's career, as told by broadcast sponsors, long-time listeners and emcees Herb Day and John Barney.
Parr retired last month and will be relocating to Alabama to live with his daughter.
