Hillsboro City Council was introduced to their newest member during council's monthly meeting, Monday night. Patty Day was introduced as the replacement for Wendy Cullbreath, who resigned from her council seat.

Councilwoman Day says she's looking forward to working as a member and with the various committees.

When asked about what she would like to accomplish as a city councilperson Day said she wants to deal with the opiate addiction problem in the community and as a health practitioner, that is among the "passions" she has as a new council member.

Hillsboro City council meets the second Monday of each Month in the Municipal court room at 7pm.
