Indians Fall to Clermont Northeastern

When Clermont Northeastern scored a late touchdown in the waning moments of the second quarter the momentum was palpable. The Rockets then parlayed that shift into three more scores in the second half to decisively defeat the Hillsboro Indians 40-14.

.

The Indians, despite some early turnovers, got back into the game and trailed by only six points- until that aforementioned late score.

.

The Indians' defense, as the game wore on, became more susceptible to the Rockets passing game led by quarterback Landen Amman. The junior time and again was able to elude the pass rush and find a open receiver downfield for crucial gains.

.

On the other hand, when Hillsboro HAD to pass, they were unable to get anything going consistently.

.

With the loss, the Indians drop to (3-2). Hillsboro, after three consecutive road games, will return to Richards Memorial Field next week to take on the Miami Trace Panthers as FAC play begins.
