The Hillsboro Lady Indians won their opening game of the season with a come-from-behind win at East Clinton. However, since then, they have dropped five straight- including a 43-28 decision to the Lady Rockets of Fayetteville Monday night.
.
The Rockets got out in front from the outset by outscoring the Indians 12-4 in the opening period. Then, in the second quarter, Fayetteville added 10 points to Hillsboro's 6 and took a 22-10 lead at halftime.
.
The second half was closely contested for most of the 16 minutes with HHS hitting a pair of three's in the 4th stanza. However, each time the Indians seemed to make a mini run, the Rockets would respond with a layup or put-back to counter what the hometown Indians had done.. It clearly has been a scarcity of offense that has held HHS back --- they have not scored over 34 points since that aforementioned game one.
.
The Indians have had a hectic schedule to this point --- having played seven games in fifteen days, Coach Moberly can, at this time, get the girls into the gym as the Indians do not play until Saturday against Miami Trace.
