Hillsboro Doubles Up WCH in Boys Hoops Action

.

A career night for Hillsboro's Ryan Scott was a key to the Indians getting a 73-30 FAC win over the visiting Washington Blue Lions Friday night.

.

Scott scorched the nets for 31 points (including 14 in the first quarter). With Scott setting the tone, HHS raced to a 20-5 lead after the first period. By the end of the second stanza, Hillsboro had stretched the lead to 37-16 at the halftime break. Despite the big lead, the Indians came out and outscored the Blue Lions 25-5 in quarter number three to completely put the game away.

.

Caleb Crawford also hit double figures for the Indians with 12 points.

.

With the victory, HHS improves to (5-6) overall and (2-5) in FAC play. Finally, For Scott's great night, he was quickly awarded appropriate recognition as the "player of the game."

.

Hillsboro, only playing two games in the first seventeen days in January, will now have to make some quick turnarounds with several games upcoming (including a game on Saturday afternoon versus Ripley). They will also travel to Goshen Tuesday night to take on the Warriors (a game that will be broadcast on WSRW).
