Man Killed in Highland County Crash Over the Weekend

(24/7 News) -- One man is dead following a mid-morning crash Saturday in Highland County. 

Authorities say 65-year-old Kelly Knauff was behind the wheel of a pickup when he blew through a stop sign a little before 9:30am and collided with an SUV, driving both vehicles off the road. The crash occurred on New Market Road at the intersection of Concord Road at 9:19am.

Knauff, who was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. 20-year-old Robert Stanforth was driving the other vehicle and was not injured. 

Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating.
