Highland County Suffers Two Motorcycle Crashes in 3 Days- One Fatal

Two serious motorcycle crashes occurred in Highland County this week, with one being a fatal.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said on Sunday, June 21st, 73-year-old Henry Fleckinger from Hillsboro was traveling southeast on State Route 124 in Marshall Township, when his motorcycle went off the road after a curve and Fleckinger was thrown from the bike after hitting a ditch. He was taken to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton where he later died.

On Tuesday, June 16th, a 68-year-old man from Mount Orab was westbound on U.S. Route 50 in Dodson Township when he also left the road after a curve in the road. He struck a ditch and was thrown. He is currently at UC Medical Center where his condition isn't known.

Neither motorcyclist was wearing his helmet. No other vehicles were involved in either crash.
