Cincinnati Hall Of Fame Kids TV Star Died

(24/7 News Source) -- Generations of Cincinnati television viewers are mourning the death of the woman they knew as "Captain Windy." Wanda Lewis passed away Monday at the age of 94.

Lewis played the popular character alongside her husband, "Uncle Al" Lewis on WCPO-TV from 1950 to 1985. The couple moved to Hillsboro in their retirement years.

In 2004, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences inducted Wanda and Al Lewis into its "Silver Circle" Hall of Fame for their work.

Al Lewis died in 2009 in Hillsboro, Ohio at age 84.
