Fayette Senior Center To Remain Closed To In-Person Dining, For Now

The Fayette County Commission on Aging will not open to senior citizens in the near future.

Commission Executive Director Cheryl Stockwell, along with Fayette County Deputy Director of Health Leigh Cannon, the Fayette County Commissioners and the Commission on Aging Board of Trustees, have decided it would not be in the best interest of the seniors of Fayette County to open the center for the in-house lunch, at this time.

Stockwell says "It is our opinion that to keep people safe we will continue to serve Meals On Wheels only".

A tentative Opening date has been set for January 4th, 2021, however this is not definite.
