The mayor of Hillsboro believes the city can become a destination location, when it comes to tourism.
Mayor Justin Harsha says one of the things Hillsboro is doing, is developing some walking & bike trails where railroad tracks used to be.
Harsha says some of the locations have been cleared of trees and brush, and now needs the trail to become a reality for the community and area visitors.
A pedestrian bridge will also be going in that crosses the creek between Shaffer Park and Liberty Park, in order to connect the downtown to the nature trail.
Harsha says he wants to see Hillsboro become a destination location, not only a city where tourists travel through.
