A threat made over social media has resulted in a felony charge or a elementary school student in Pickaway County.
According to the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office, officers responded to Saltcreek Elementary School on Thursday, December 16th after an online threat was made against the school.
A brief investigation revealed the treat to have been made by a 5th grade student at the school. The student admitted to putting the threat out over social media, according to Pickaway County Sheriff Matthew Hafey.
The juvenile student has been charged with inducing panic and has been taken to the multi-county juvenile detention center.
Saltcreek Elementary School is part of the Logan Elm School District.
