Annual "Night Pie Ride" Returns to Paint Creek Recreational Trail Thursday

With the recent concerns about the Paint Creek Recreational Trail, try a fun event to get familiar with it. Kevin Coleman spoke to boosters of the trail at the open house last week.

The annual "Night Pie Ride" returns to the Paint Creek Recreational Trail. It starts 6:30 this Thursday evening, October 6th, 2022.

Sandra Clark with the Tri-County Triangle Trail says it is a fun event for all ages and skill levels. Cyclists leave in daylight, get an Amish-made pie in Frankfort, then return by night light to the start.

The event starts at the parking lot for the Hopewell earthworks on Sulphur Lick Road, where park rangers will provide security and have restrooms open.

It's $5 for the pie, $6 with ice cream, for the 14-mile round trip on a level paved surface.
