Fourth District Appellate Court to Convene in Ross County on April 13

The Fourth District Court of Appeals will convene in Ross County on Thursday, April 13th to consider appeals cases from Athens, Pickaway, Meigs and Washington counties.

Cases will be argued beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Ross County Common Pleas Courtroom at the Ross Count Courthouse by appellate judges Michael Hess of Circleville, Peter Abele of Vinton, and Kristy Wilkin of Hillsboro.

The Court of Appeals directly reviews all cases heard or tried in lower courts in which a decision is being appealed. These cases my have been tried in Common Pleas, Probate, Juvenile, Municipal or County Courts, and may be either civil or criminal cases.

The Fourth District Court of Appeals serves the southern Ohio counties of Adams, Athens, Gallia, Highland, Hocking, Jackson, Lawrence, Meigs, Pickaway, Pike, Ross, Scioto, Vinton and Washington.
